Startup of the Week - Conferize

by Startacus Admin
On any given day, it’s pretty likely that there is an event or conference happening somewhere in the world. If you happen to be an event organiser, it’s becoming an increasingly challenging task - both in terms of planning and creating the event itself but also in terms of attracting an audience.
It’d be fair to say too that by relying only on actual attendees and standard ticket sales, you’re in a sense only reaching a small percentage of your potential audience. That however is exactly what our latest Startup of the Weekis seeking to address.
Conferize is an online platform which describes itself as ‘the world of conferences online.’
If you’re an event organiser, you can add your event to the platform and bring your speakers, sponsors and delegates together in an entirely new way.
Using social networking and content sharing, it can help you promote your speakers, it can help your event sponsors connect directly with your conference delegates and it can help you create a unique community for those delegates - to help them engage and network better and also create a real buzz about your event.
Conferize also aggregates content about your event from all around the web - be that from Twitter, Instagram or Prezi and adds it to a ‘Highlight Player’ which you can embed on your website or blog or promote on social media.
Of course, Conferize is not just a great tool for event organisers - it’s an amazing resource for anyone who wants to discover, follow or attend conferences on a whole plethora of subjects. Even if you can’t actually be at an event in person, it lets you follow all the important stuff in real time, as if you were actually there.
Conferences, events et al are here to stay and we reckon that the same can certainly be said for Conferize. Go check it out for yourself!
