Startup of the Week - Bidwedge

by Startacus Admin
Got any unused foreign currency? Exchanging it just became a whole lot easier thanks to Bidwedge...

It might have seemed like too much hassle to take it to the bank or the exchange rate may have been poor, therefore it’s more than likely lying in a drawer or in a bag we no longer use. Either way though, it is serving us no purpose at the moment.
That, however, need no longer be the case, thanks to our latest startup of the week.
Bidwedge is a new FinTech platform that provides “the easy way to sell your unused and unwanted foreign cash currency at the best rates”.
The platform has just launched so currently deals in Euro and Dollar only however other currencies will be added in due course.
Here’s how it works:
Simply add up your notes and use the online calculator to see what they are worth when converted to Sterling. You must then decide whether you would like to be paid by PayPal or bank transfer and complete the basic application form.
Print off your order confirmation, pop your money in an envelope and send it to Bidwedge. They have a freepost address so you won’t even need to add a stamp and most importantly of all, your money is insured.
If you are exchanging up to £30, you’ll be paid immediately whilst any transactions over this amount will be settled on the day that they receive your foreign notes.
There are no hidden fees or admin charges - what you see on the calculator is what you’ll receive.
It couldn’t be simpler!
With so many of us having small amounts of unused cash currency like this lying about our homes and effectively getting wasted, we reckon that Bidwedge have created a perfect solution.
And with most of us now at home more than ever, perhaps it’s the perfect time to have a hunt through those drawers and cupboards and see what dollars or euro we can find that can be exchanged for £££!
