Lysa wants to be your personal nutritionist in your pocket

Smart and almost human (almost), Lysa aims to offers a new approach to diet management and nutrition. We really are hungry to give it a go…
We are liking the sound of coming-soon AI app (currently in early beta) Lysa which is all set to act as your personal health coach offering smart nutritional advice and guidance via your phone.
No more navigating online forums to try and figure out if this diet is healthy for you (or not). Created by a team of dietitians, health technologists and nutrition experts that know their stuff, Lysa provides smart and immediate feedback and support on the foods and meals you eat.
Lysa’s CEO Anne-Laure Le Cunff previously managed global marketing at Google in Mountain View for several digital health products including Google Fit and Android Wear. A member of Founders of the Future, she has been recognised as a young disruptor making her mark on digital in The Drum's #50under30 annual feature, and shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Digital Entrepreneur Awards.
The idea of Lysa was inspired by a history of diabetes in Anne-Laure’s family and a passion for food, as well as the realisation that nutrition apps' downloads are high, but retention is low.
So what will Lysa aim to do?
Well, put simply, you send Lysa your meals the same way you would to a friend. ‘She’ will log them for you and will give you nutritional advice tailored to your physiology, your goals, your lifestyle, and your tastes. Nice. Lysa will become smarter as she gets to know you meaning the advice you get is bespoke to you.
Also on board the Lysa team is Katarina Burton, a London based, New York University educated, NHS experienced, HCPC Registered Dietitian, and CTO Jay Li, who before joining Lysa, founded a digital agency specialising in building apps for startups.
