It’s been a year that we’ll never forget! However despite all the challenges that we’ve faced, 2020 has seen startups continuing to create, innovate and disrupt in all sorts of sectors. Now as we embark on a new year, we thought it’d be the perfect time to have a look back at some of the startups that have been doing just that and that have been awarded our Startup of the Week accolade over the past 12 months. Bring! is a digital grocery tool that simplifies grocery shopping for you and anyone you are shopping for.

The Doorstep Market is a new online platform for “small independent Irish businesses and for consumers who want to support them by buying local products and services”.

Candide is “a social network, an encyclopaedia, a marketplace and a virtual garden tour guide all in one place”.

Cogz is a “marketplace for food and drink manufacturers & processors to buy wonky or surplus produce directly from UK farmers & growers”.

Kitche is an innovative app that aims to help us reduce our food waste at home and also save money in the process.

iPrescribe Exercise is “a personalised and automated physical activity prescription app to help people get active and manage chronic medical conditions”.

Diaspo is an online platform that “facilitates the exchange of authentic knowledge and skills between generations, starting with food and cooking”.

Trayde is an online wholesale marketplace connecting independent retailers with unique, artisan brands.

FitXR is an innovative startup that's on a mission to "redefine fitness through immersive technologies and prove that exercise is for everyone".

Lifetise is an innovative financial planning startup that is on a mission to help us all plan for those big life events.

Local E is an online platform and app which is on a mission to help the best local independent restaurants and takeaways stand out in a world full of huge corporate giants and chains.

Eppik is “a smart family photo sharing platform that helps families reconnect through their shared photo heritage”.

Bikemap is a startup that is on a mission to empower cyclists everywhere by providing the world’s largest cycle route collection in its innovative app.

Cash Coach is a startup which is using AI technology and gamification to make saving fun.

Logically is an innovative startup that is using AI to help fight the spread of misinformation and provide us with fact-checked news.

CrowdFarming is an online platform that is on a mission to connect people directly with the origin of their food.

Upside is a FinTech startup that is on a mission to help us all effortlessly grow our savings.

Pocket PA is an app “for microbusiness owners to manage all their business 'stuff' on the go, all in one place”.

LawBite is a Lawtech startup which is on a mission to democratise the delivery of business law and thereby help SMEs with their legal requirements.

RoosterMoney is a FinTech startup which aims to transform the way that parents teach their kids about the value of money.

QRclean is a Hygiene Transparency Solution that makes cleaning logs easily accessible to your customers through QR codes.

PiPcall is a telecoms app that is designed for business teams to replace mobile handsets. It's a phone in a phone!

Kidadl is an online platform and app that aims to “bring you unique activity inspiration every day, all personalised to the ages and interests of your kids”.

Pingza is an innovative new app that “uncorks the complex world of wine for amateur and expert alike”.

RunMotion Coach is a personalised mobile coaching app for running.

Frog Systems is a Glasgow based startup that has created a mental health and wellbeing video platform that utilises the lived experience to deliver help and support.

Wakuda is a new online platform aiming to be the leading marketplace for Black-owned businesses in the UK.

HeyPlants is an online marketplace connecting garden enthusiasts with local sellers, garden centres and nurseries.

Coconut is “a smart accounting tool for self-employed people”.

Portify is a fintech startup that has created an app that aims to be “the simple and easy way to build your credit score”.

Knowledge Recycled is an online platform that is on a mission to “preserve, recycle and share knowledge”.

Kind Bag is a startup that’s on a mission to “combat plastic pollution accelerating the use of recycled material in the fashion industry”.

Carverter is an online platform that “helps you find, understand and lease a low- or zero-emission vehicle that’s fit for your lifestyle”.

Trust Keith is a startup that is on a mission to simplify data protection.

The Good Club is a startup and online platform that is on a mission to make good, sustainable and organic food and groceries accessible to all.

Whatbook is “a book discovery and social network app for readers, by readers”.
