Running to Build Better Communities

If you can summon the strength to go for a run, you will already know that it can 
have a huge amount of benefits, not just for you, but for other people as well. It can help to blow away the figurative cobwebs (or indeed the literal ones), relieving stress, and generally making you feel like a champion!
Combine this with some of the great opportunities for charitable fundraising that running can bring, and you have yourself a great way to spend your time!
Impact Marathon Series
Impact Marathon Series is a new social business (or social enterprise) that aims to take these positive aspects of running and multiply them as a way to sustainably build communities and bring people together around important causes that have the potential to leave a very real and lasting impact on the world!
Impact Philanthropy
The difference between Impact Marathon Series and the standard model of running for charity is that they have taken the experience to a whole new level, allowing participants to get involved and experience the impacts that their work is having within the communities that it benefits.
They create experiences that go much further than just simply running a race, but build in a 6-day adventure that gives them the opportunity to volunteer within the project that they are fundraising for.
It’s a new and innovative way of experiencing charitable giving, which gives runners a direct experience of the people and communities that are on the receiving end of their good work, and perhaps spurring them on to run just a little bit faster and a little bit further.
Upcoming Races
If you would like to get involved with Impact Marathon Series, there's still plenty of time to throw your hat into the ring! The next race will be taking place in November 2016 in Nepal to help with post-earthquake redevelopment, and after that in Cosa Rica 2017 in aid of local conservation.
