Irish IoT Tech event to showcase depth of Irish IoT Tech scene

Irish IoT Tech event

Announced last month, Startacus is happy to highlight that Irish Tech News in partnership with DCU Alpha Campuswill be hosting a one day IoT conference in Dublin on the May 30th to highlight and showcase the depth of IoT innovation taking place in Ireland.

The 30th May event is set to bring together the leading innovators and thought leaders in IoT to share insights and the latest exciting developments in this space.

Currently at the stage of finalising the panels and topics to be covered, they have penciled in working titles, ranging from; Irish IoT Tech event

  • “Why should I care if my coffee pot can talk to my toaster?

  • ”The importance of good IoT storytelling, Indigenous SME IoT success stories, insights from those who are nailing it”

  • "IoT Startup voices, insights from the startup coalface"

through to themes that address the future of IoT, such as…

  • “IoT and the future of work, what will it mean for you?”

  • “IoT 2027, what the future will look like”. You can check out full list of current suggested topics here.

When the conference was first announced, Irish Tech News were more than happy to take suggestions on other topics, themes and thought leaders that should be considered for the event. It might not be too late to still do just that, and you can email simon@irishtechnews.ie to chit-chat with the organiser.

At the event, Irish Tech News will also announcing the winners of The Irish Tech News IoT Awards 2017, an initiative to find and showcase the top IoT companies in Ireland in 2017. Added value to attend come May we think.

We look forward to hearing more on this conference as plans are fully confirmed and tickets are released and high-5’s all-round to Irish Tech News and DCU Alpha Campus for continue to make a thing out of the Irish Internet of Things scene.

- if you are a IoT Startup based in Ireland (in fact anywhere in the UK, Ireland or mainland Europe) you might be interested to know that upSTART 2017 - the startup pitch battle at Digital DNA in Belfast, NI is currently open for startup entries. We reported only yesterday (06.04.17), that the winner prize fund has been increased to a mega £150k, which includes £10k hard cash. Take a look at the details here.
