A little bit about me:
I am a dyslexic dyslexia specialist, social entrepreneur, musician and composer. I left school with no qualifications and became a musician for a number of years. Went back into full time education in 1988 and became an inclusion teacher and dyslexia specialist. From 1995 until 2008. I worked in further education as a dyslexia specialist. In 2009 I moved back home to Scotland and founded Dyslexia Pathways CIC. We have contracts to supply dyslexia support services to two Scottish universities. This year I set up Unique Dyslexic Get Creative. The aim of the project is to promote and support creative dyslexics and people from other neuro-diverse communities. We have secured funding from the Big Lottery, Scottish Community Foundation, Fife Creative Learning Network and Fife Cultural Trust to enable us to run the first stage of the Unique Dyslexic. This funding has enabled us to run four free creative workshops, a new website and social media outlets.
