A little bit about me:

I have spent most of my life studying, playing, performing, listening to music (on the radio, at concerts and gigs, online), and meeting musicians. I joined Facebook in 2007, and twitter 2 years later. I was, and still cam, compelled to share other peoples music. I started blogging, mostly about music in around 2010. 4 and a bit years later, a friend suggested I turn the blog into something more serious. In January 2013, I set up Cheeky Promo with the aim of helping musicians in anyway(s) I could. First came a Facebook group, and then other social media platforms... Along the way I set up CheekPromo.com, although I'm the first one to admit I'm NOT a web designer. (If you fancy helping, in return for huge public appreciation online, please get in touch.). I love interviewing musicians and sharing their music on social media. Cheeky Promo helps musicians make connections - whether that's with other musicians, (potential) fans, or others in the Industry / Business who may be able to help them in ways that I don't / can't (yet). I live in Kingston upon Thames, SW London, UK. Ontario, Canada based writer, poet & hourglass artist Rania Watts joined in Aug 2014. We find Facebook chat and Skype to be great ways of discussing ideas, and hope to meet in person at some point. We love meeting arrangers, bassists, cellists, composers, conductors, drummers, engineers, lyricists, orchestrators, performers, pianists, producers, promoters, publishers, radio stations/show hosts, record labels, recording studios, singers, songwriters, teachers, trombonists, violinists, venues and more "I'm always seeing Rupert Cheek promoting.many people don;trealise the dedication and time this takes.
