Zeigo - the innovative renewable energy platform

by Startacus Admin
Zeigo is a climate-tech startup that's aiming to make it quicker, easier and more cost effective for businesses to source impactful energy.
The push for businesses to turn to more renewable sources is getting stronger and stronger, and businesses are always looking for ways of better offsetting their carbon footprint, two things that can go hand in hand.
Emissions from the energy industry are only increasing, even as we understand more and more about climate change, and the only way this will improve is by businesses, both big and small, turning away from the traditional big polluters and sourcing cleaner energy. This is easier said than done, though, and can be costly and time-consuming without the right kind of help.
London-based climate-tech startup Zeigo has created a platform to help make it easier for companies to source renewable energy and which streamlines the process of procuring a power purchase agreement.
Zeigo has put together a vast network of renewable energy generators and suppliers around the world, and gives you a clear view of all of these without bias, using thousands of data points and a machine learning algorithm to give you the insights you need to make an informed decision.
Power purchase agreements are long-term energy supply agreements between an energy provider and its customer, and the negotiations over them can be lengthy and complex, but Zeigo standardises their more simplified process to make things quicker and easier. With the platform, a business can run a two-stage tender process for a PPA in 6 weeks. To help smaller businesses access PPAs, Zeigo allows groups of businesses to purchase energy together in aggregated PPAs, giving them access to what would usually only be open to big companies.
Already using Zeigo are names such as Network Rail, Welsh Water, and Gatwick Airport, and as its disruption of the energy sourcing process, we expect the names will grow quickly.
