WorkSpot.ie - flexible pay as you go workspaces

by Startacus Admin
Fed up with working from home? Irish startup WorkSpot.ie aims to help you find desk space, where & when you need it.
We’ve mentioned many times now how the workplace norm has changed drastically since COVID. What is the workplace these days? An office? Your dining table? A hybrid of the two? The ability - or necessity - to work from home can be a good thing for many reasons, but it also comes with its own difficulties and downsides.
These might come in the form of difficulty having meetings while little people run around the house vying for attention, or the unique kind of burnout that can come from remaining in the same environment day in, day out. The latter can also have a negative effect on your creativity and motivation. So, other than returning to an office full-time, the obvious choice is to find a space you can work from temporarily, either to reset or to get that quiet hour you need.
Irish startup WorkSpot.ie knows all about the trials and tribulations of working from home, and of trying to find a space away from it for a while. That’s why they have set up a website to connect people looking for such spaces with the venues offering them, be they cafés, hotels, restaurants, or offices. You can search through the site for local spots that will give you pay-as-you-go space on an hourly, daily, weekly, or even monthly basis, each with their own additional benefits. These could be a nice quiet spot on a beach front, giving you the opportunity to have a walk along the sea at lunch, or it could be a café that will provide food and drink as part of the price.
The goal is to ultimately make an ‘airbnb’ for desk space, with venues spread out across the whole of Europe for locals and travellers alike to find spots to work. Of course, the benefits are there for the venue offering these spaces, too. The startup says that a venue can bring in an average of €4,200 per year for a single desk or table used throughout the year. And on top of this, for places like cafés, there’s an extra customer.
Whether you’re just looking for a getaway, you’re travelling, or you’re a new entrepreneur in need of somewhere to get started, WorkSpot.ie is well worth a look.
