Details of the key speakers, panelists and agenda for the Work: In Progress event that is being delivered by Startacus have just been announced! Streamed live from The Mac, Belfast on 10th November, Work: In Progress is an event with a NI heart and soul, but with a focus on themes of global relevance and significance.
The 1 day hybrid event will explore how the world of work is changing, with discussions on everything from the future of workspaces and ways of working, through to future jobs and talent planning; from commitments to diversity, inclusion and social purpose through to meeting the hiring demands of the growing tech sector.
The Work: In Progress agenda encompasses a series of inspirational sessions on 4 core themes with work, the workforce and the workplace being the overarching theme throughout.
Some of the key speakers and panelists confirmed so far include:
Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation, the home business website
Vanessa Tierney, Director of Yonderdesk and co-founder of Abodoo, a learning engagement platform for people in the new world of work
Toby Farren - Founder and CEO at Waypoint, a collaborative software platform which helps teams and organizations to systemically drive, manage, orchestrate innovation & change.
Louise Brogan, an international speaker who will be sharing insights on how businesses can use their LinkedIn profiles to attract and retain future talent
Diana Akanho, Senior Insight Manager at Tech Nation, who is particularly interested in the evolution of tech and how this has played a role in employer demand for digital skills
Virginia Méndez Mesón, author, public speaker and co-founder of The Feminist Shop
Dave Graham, research technologist and the technology advocate lead for Dell Technologies' Office of Research
Bukola Adisa, the Founder and CEO of Career Masterclass, which is a leading online career development platform
Stephen Rice, founder and CEO of workforce development platform, TalentSensus
Sophie Smallwood, founder of Roleshare, a platform that matches part-time workers to share full-time jobs
The event will also feature a startup pitch competition, powered by sponsors Clockwise Belfast and Raise Ventures, where up to 8 early-stage tech startups from the island of Ireland with relevance to future work and workplace solutions will have the opportunity to compete in a pitch competition for a cash prize of £1500.
In addition to major Work: In Progress sponsors, RealTime Recruitment and Version 1, Startacus are delighted to announce that Waypoint, Pulsar, Matrix NI and Young Enterprise NI will be sponsoring individual sessions, with Incline Space also sponsoring an evening social to round off the event hosted at the Clockwise offices.
