Wildpoint - the startup aiming to make the outdoors appealing once again.

Over the past two years, we have all found ourselves locked indoors for long periods of time, allowed outside only once or twice for either our daily exercise or a trip to the shop, Covid19 has restricted and distanced us from nature and the outdoors. However, it’s time now to get back outdoors as things seem to be changing for the better! Thankfully there are a number of startups that are helping us do so, one being Wildpoint.
Wildpoint is a camping platform which allows ‘hosts to list private land, connecting them with guests who can search, browse and book unique stays across the UK, such as tent pitches, tipis, yurts, campervan pitches and more’. They are making outdoors accessible and appealing for all, what more could you want?
The business recently secured a VC led pre-seed of £265K with the support of Qventures and ADA Ventures and are also currently crowdfunding via Crowdcube.
Since their launch in 2021, Wildpoint have had an impressive 350 hosts, 800+ users signed up to the platform, alongside hosting over 80 nights at their suggested locations for prices as low as £35 per night!
So, how does Wildpoint work? The platform enables hosts to list their unique private land spaces, connecting them directly with guests who can search, browse and book unique stays across the UK for campervan pitches, camping pitches or even glamping stays.
The result? Wildpoint benefits both the landowner and the individual seeking land to camp on. The owner has a new way of generating revenue and the individual has an experience of a lifetime. It’s a win win!
Wildpoint has definitely inspired us to put our phones down after booking and head outside again!
