WeWork Creator Awards application deadline approaches

Whether you are just planting the seed for that ‘big idea’ or you’ve already grown a full-fledged business, check out this fab opportunity via world leading collaborative workspace and community providers, WeWork, who are committing over $20 million to empower creators from around the world through a new platform called the Creator Awards.
The Creator Awards, care of WeWork (more on them in a minute), is a new global competition open to entrepreneurs, startups, artists and not-for-profits. Open to anyone, from early stage idea-maker, to fully fledged scaling startup, they are happy to receive applications from anyone who embodies the WeWork mantra to “Create your Life’s Work”.
Hundreds of winners from eight global regions, will benefit from awards to take their projects on to further heights. Their award categories are designed to reward entrepreneurs, artists, startups, and nonprofits at every stage of the business journey.
The Incubate
You’ve got a great idea, or even a specific project that needs funding, but need some help introducing it to the world. Finalists from this category will showcase their projects at their regional finals; they’ll also take home funding awards to get their projects up and running. $18K-$36K USD per award is available via this catagory.
The Launch
You’ve introduced your idea to the world, but are still learning as you make it real. Finalists from this category will pitch before judges at their regional finals, competing for funding awards and the chance to advance to our global finals in New York City. $72K-$180K USD per award is available via this catagory.
The Scale
You’ve launched, learned, have a solid approach, and are ready for the next level. Finalists from this category will pitch before judges at their regional finals, competing for funding awards and the chance to advance to our global finals in New York City. $180K-$360K USD per award is available via this catagory.
How to apply?
First up, you don’t have to be a WeWork member to apply. The rest is equally simple - you’ll need to complete an online application, record and share a 90 second pitch video and then submit - Hooray!
You will then be notified approximately two weeks before your regional event, if you’ve been shortlisted to pitch in person.
UK and Irish startups have until August 24th to get their application in, with the relevant London event happening on September 14th. If you just want to make the most of the day with the job fair and maker's market, enjoy live music and free cocktails to toast the winners, RSVP here
Elsewhere in Europe - an event in Berlin, open to German ‘creators’ takes place on September 26th, with their respective applications deadline booked in for September 12th.
World leading collaborative workspace and community providers, WeWork, who started back in 2010, and have always been keen to build more than shared office spaces - with building creative and collaborative communities a core ethos within their overall mission.
