Weengs e-commerce fulfilment solution has big ambitions

by Startacus Admin
Weengs is a London-based startup that's on a mission to simplify order fulfilment for small ecommerce businesses, helping business owners & e-sellers grow.

And since you brought up couriers, we all know that it’s hard to find a good courier that takes its responsibility seriously and is devoid of those drivers who like to perform drive-by deliveries, flinging your breakables out the window as they pass your door.
So what about a good fulfilment service specifically for small ecommerce businesses that makes sure your products reach their destination in one piece no matter how hard that wannabe baseball pitcher hurls them at the door?
Weengs is a London-based fulfilment service specifically for small ecommerce businesses, it just so happens.
Weengs collects orders daily from their customers, and takes those products away to package them. No matter how small, bulky, tough, or fragile your product is, Weengs has the means and expertise to package it securely, even custom-building packaging if necessary. They then hand off the order to a carrier and give them a stern look so that they know what’s what.
Packaging is the perfect balance of safety and minimal size. Weengs ensures that you get business rates from the carrier, and that the right carrier is chosen for the order’s needs. All orders are covered for loss and breakage. One dashboard manages all of your orders. You get your first order free. There’s no monthly fee. The list of benefits goes on, and whether you send one package a month or 500, you’ll be saving time and money.
Recently, Weengs secured £6.5m in Series A funding led by the venture capital firm Oxford Capital.
The startup has grown more than tenfold in the last 18 months and now has about 400 retailers as customers, and has saved them an estimated £580,000. By next year, Weengs will have saved its retailers over 2 million hours of time which would have otherwise been spent on fulfilment.
It’s handy.
