Web Summit Kicks off in Dublin

The time has come! Web Summit is finally here.
The tech world has descended upon the Irish capital Dublin, in what is arguably the world’s most exciting, innovative, and comprehensive exposé that the global tech industry has to offer!
Over the course of the next few days some 22,000 attendees are expected to sample the delights of the Summit, with over 2,000 startups exhibiting, 700 investors and 1,300 journalists attending the event.
Away from the main stage are ‘mini summits’ which guarantee this year's event will not only see twice as many attendees as last year, but is bringing together an incredibly broad range of contemporary industries, the like of which the world has never seen before.
The Enterprise Summit is playing host to talks and discussions centred around how technology can help solve some of the greatest challenges faced by modern enterprise.
The Sports Summit sheds fresh new light on the worlds greatest sports technology issues
The Builders Summit meet the people and companies pioneering technology that is changing the way we live today on a fundamental level.
The Machine Summit is focussing on that most exciting and burgeoning area of technology, the internet of things, examining how it can benefit everyone and taking a closer look at some of the great developments which are expected to happen in the coming years.
The Marketing Summit is playing host to a comprehensive range of talks and discussions on how advertising in the digital age has changed, and will continue to change, the way we live our lives.
The Music Summit is exploring the contribution that technology has made to the development of the music industry and signposting ways in which this will continue in the future.
The Food Summit 400 food producers and chefs from Ireland's most prominent restaurants, hotels, pubs, cafés, food shops and cookery schools are showcasing the taste and flavour of their food. It promises to be a delight for the senses and will also place a central focus on the way technology has changed how we think about, produce and even cook our food!
The Fringe Summit is a series of events across Dublin which is helping to bring the Web Summit experience to the people of Dublin. Its a chance for all people of the city to engage with the summit and the issues which are central to this years event.
The Night Summit will bring some evening frivolity to the Web Summit in what is fast becoming one of Ireland’s most significant music gatherings Attendees can soak up the craic and spend some time discussing the events of the day in dozens of venues across the city of Dublin.
