Web Summit Bringing Tech Events to Belfast

by Startacus Admin
Some truly outstanding news for the people of Belfast now, as Web Summit announces that this June (2015) it will be bringing its unique brand of technological celebrations to your fair city, with the first ever stand alone
conference in its history.
Speaking of Web Summit history, let's quickly recap on some of the details
WebSummit began in 2010 as an informal meet-up of 450 members of Dublin’s tech community.
Within three years it had become the most influential and international tech event in Europe.
Last year it reached epic proportions with over 22,000 attendees from all corners of the globe flocking to Dublin to soak up the technological carnival that is Web Summit. Two members of the Startacus team attended in 2014 , you can read about their experiences here (Eoin at the Web Summit) and here (Niall at the Web Summit)
The Startacus team have been on board since the early days and so have thoroughly enjoyed their rise to global success; now we are thrilled at the prospect of 2 new stand alone events taking place in Belfast.
Details are as yet a little sketchy at this point but here’s what we know so far.
Having asked attendees last year, what they would like to see taken as the topic of a standalone conference, 3 answers came out on top; enterprise, payments and the internet of things.
As a result the folks at Web Summit have come up with 2 exciting new conferences EnterConf and MoneyConf.
EnterConf is bringing together innovators who are building the business technologies of the future with global IT leaders from the world’s largest and most-established companies. The key focus will be helping people to get a better grasp of enterprise technologies and make sure that they are fully utilising them within their own businesses.
“With various stages, workshops, and networking events, EnterConf offers a unique opportunity for you to immerse yourself among thousands of others from the world of enterprise, while also helping you learn a huge amount about the trends that are shaping the future of enterprise systems and technologies”
MoneyConf will bring the major innovators who are building finance technologies for the future together with leaders from the world’s largest and most-established financial institutions.
“With various stages, workshops, and networking events, MoneyConf offers a unique opportunity for you to immerse yourself among thousands of others from the world of FinTech, while also helping you learn a huge amount about the trends that are shaping the future of finance systems and technologies”
When are these marvellous events taking place?
MoneyConf will be held June 15th - 16th and EnterConf a few days later on June 18th and 19th.
Tickets aren’t on sale yet, but you can pre-register for both to get a special 2-for-1 discount code!
Keep an eye out as over the next couple of weeks we will be taking a closer look at each of these conferences and what attendees can expect!
