We Build Bots creates the world’s only citizen service automation platform

We Build Bots! The Cardiff-based startup that's creating innovative AI powered automation solutions for Local Governments and Public Sector organisations

If we are looking for simple information on policies, dates and times, and small issues like that, a chatbot can tell us what we need to know and we can be on our way in the time it would have taken to connect to a human and waited for them to introduce themselves.
For us, that interaction took perhaps a minute and didn’t have much of an impact on our lives either way; however, for the business whose customer support agents were able to spend that time helping someone else with a more complicated matter - someone who didn’t have to wait an extra minute or two while the agent answered our simple question - that extra time builds up to a lot of simple issues dealt with without tying up agents.
Cardiff-based startup We Build Bots has, as the name suggests, worked with automation and chatbots for some time and has created IntelAgent in conjunction with local government.
They believe that the small gains in efficiency that a good automated system can bring about belies the big increase in quality of citizens’ everyday lives when it comes to the local government sector, and so IntelAgent uses chatbots, voice, and data analytics to automate and improve support in areas such as refuse, revenues, highways, and housing.
They say that they can redirect 60% of enquiries from traditional support channels and into their automated service, while still delivering the customer service that the citizens expect. As well as this, the people inside local government are given the same automated experience for things such as HR, finance, and IT support.
In February, We Build Bots became the first Welsh winner of Tech Nation’s Rising Stars. Then, in June, they opened pre-registration for a round of funding on Seedrs, and raised over their £125k goal.
Automation is the future, and a startup that is helping to ensure it is a bright and user-friendly future is worth keeping an eye on.
