wander wants to go feet first into the job search

by Startacus Admin

Designed to pick up on target vacancies in your immediate proximity, wander is an app using location technology, matching job-seekers with nearby jobs they are close to.
The changing pace of technology has impacted few industries more than recruitment, as the internet offers an unprecedented opportunity to match potential employees and employers.
New app wander wants job-seekers to forgot about wasting hours of time searching through jobsites to find their ideal dream job. Instead, with wander, job-seekers can literally wander past a restaurant, shop or any other business and be instantly notified of available jobs that match to what they are looking for.
Designed to pick up on target vacancies in your immediate proximity, the app was designed in an effort to increase the efficiency of the job hunt, showing potential employees relevant target vacancies and matching them with local employers.
The new app is the brainchild of recruiter Luke Secker. With a background in recruitment, Luke explained his reasoning behind the app:
"After years of experience working in the recruiting industry, I started to notice a gap in the market. Location technology has existed for years, and we're all walking around with phones - it was my vision that before long, we'd see a world where job seekers and companies could be seamlessly matched with the power of technology."
wander has been specifically designed to have a seamless user experience, allowing job hunters to use simple, familiar swiping motions to navigate local jobs, save them for later or easily apply directly in the app.
Currently functional in the Norwich area, Luke has ambitions to expand the app nationwide across the UK - we think it might just have the legs to do just that...
