vidiCREW app crowdsources the wedding video experience

by Startacus Admin
The vidiCREW app is on a mission to show your wedding through the eyes of your loved ones. How does it work?
We all know that weddings are relaxed, stress-free affairs, packed with fun and everybody getting along. Everyone loves the wedding photographer or videographer sticking a camera too close to their faces and demanding an on-the-spot witty yet deeply emotional one-liner for the happy couple. The brand new spouses enjoy coming back from their honeymoon to watch their drunk uncles slurring out Celine Dion.
But what if they could watch more than just the wedding itself? What if they could relive the whole build up and event itself through the eyes of their friends and family, and see the work and love that went on behind the scenes from those people?
London-based vidiCREW think this would be a good idea, and after seeing the examples on their site, we agree. The idea of vidiCREW is simple: you, your fiance, your friends, and your family all download the app and film every part of the journey to wedded bliss. This content is then uploaded to their servers to be securely stored for up to 12 months, and you can add and remove people and content whenever you want to.
When you are ready, vidiCREW’s professional video editors will piece it all together into an Emmy award winning film. You’ll get to see all of the things you normally don’t get to; you’ll see your wedding through the eyes of your loved ones. And in-laws.
Businesses can also go to vidiCREW for similar content to engage customers with behind the scenes footage, which we have written before is a good way to humanise your business. But whether for business or for a memory of the happiest day of your life [sic], the idea of professionals putting together video straight from the people who care about you most is far more intriguing and all-round preferable to the usual videographer running around getting random clips from your third cousin twice removed’s boyfriend’s grandparents.
