Are you an ambitious student or graduate entrepreneur with the passion to take your business all the way?
If you are then this could be an excellent opportunity!
Varsity Pitch Competition
The annual Varsity Pitch Competition from the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) has been launched once again, and they want to hear about all of the great innovations that are being developed by the UK’s student and graduate population.
Over the past 7 years the Varsity Pitch Competition has celebrated and rewarded some of the best businesses being created by students in the UK.
It is a three-stage competition combining an online public vote, an expert bootcamp, and a grand finale in front of the media, representatives from government, and business leaders.
The winning business will receive £10,000 cash (equity-free) as well as a huge range of opportunities, and the kudos which comes from winning a long-running national competition.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to current UK college / university students, as well as those who have graduated since 2011.
You can submit your startup under one of 7 categories;
Tata Disruptive- for businesses which are completely changing the way that something is done
Tata Social Impact- for social enterprises or businesses which are ethically conscience
Genuine Innovation with Microsoft- for businesses with something completely unique or improving something.
Creative and Design- for businesses which require a creative flair
Digital and Technical- for apps, hardware, and online products
Ideas with the University of Westminster- for would-be entrepreneurs with an idea that could grow into a great business.
People’s Vote with Lloyds Banking Group- An online Vote will see the business with the highest number of votes in the application stage get fast tracked to the final! (you don’t need to opt into this category as every team will be automatically eligible)
