valid8Me - digital onboarding made easy

by Startacus Admin
The lowdown on valid8Me, the digital identity SAAS startup that's making the customer onboarding process more streamlined and secure - for businesses and customers alike.
We all need validation now and then. When we need to feel valued and emotionally healthy, self-validation just isn’t enough, when we want to feel accepted by other people whose opinions we hold dear and, perhaps above all else, when we’re being onboarded by a company as a new customer.
Onboarding new customers can be a costly process due to increasingly strict privacy and data laws, and the overheads that come with maintaining security, and it can be a lengthy one for the customer, which is off-putting and frustrating. In some cases, it may even mean losing customers.
Cork-based regtech startup valid8Me has developed a SaaS platform to make the customer onboarding process more streamlined and secure. It does this through the use of reusable digital identity, which gives more control and certainty over onboarding, proving identity, and forensically checking documents, and makes it simpler and quicker.
As well as making onboarding easier for everyone, the startup allows individuals and businesses to source, store, share, and manage ‘know-your-customer’ data securely, with digital identity vaults, meaning that customers can have one single location to which to direct any company needing to validate them. These digital identity vaults also reduce the risk and cost of maintaining sensitive information.
valid8Me says that, as well as improving customers’ overall experience, they reduce onboarding time by up to 90% and save up to 50% for a business’s onboarding costs. This is thanks in large part to the fact that the startup removes those overheads for maintaining customer data and complying with regulations.
The platform already supports 10,000 different document templates from 248 different countries and territories, and this will continue to grow and incorporate everything that any business could need for validation.
In July, valid8Me announced that they had secured a €12.5 million round of investment, just the year after their launch, thanks to a deal with Grant Thornton Ireland. This capital injection will be used to increase the size of the valid8Me team, as well as accelerate growth within Ireland and beyond.
