UrbanVolt - energy efficiency made easy

by Startacus Admin

Dublin-based startup UrbanVolt is aiming to upgrade businesses to Energy efficient LED lighting, to help offer a brighter future for all.

But how do you go about solving an issue like lights, while maintaining your employees’ right to see what they’re doing?
You contact Dublin-based startup UrbanVolt, of course. UrbanVolt is a LaaS (lighting as a service of course!) startup whose mission is to use the power (no pun intended) of business to solve social and environmental problems.
They will upgrade your business’s facilities to LED lighting, saving you around 75% on your energy bill overnight. After using advanced data analytics to determine your current energy consumption and create a proposal, UrbanVolt will turn up and change all your lights themselves, without disrupting business, and they’ll handle all maintenance for the next 10 years, with a 5-year guarantee.
They put up the cost of switching over themselves and make back the money from the savings you make. With smart reports, you can see monthly energy consumption reports on an online dashboard.
In December, UrbanVolt beat 29 other startups to win Google’s Adopt a Startup programme following the 12-weeks and an intense pitch finale at the Google EMEA Dublin HQ. As well as the mentorship and everything learned throughout the programme, being the ultimate winner netted them €10,000 in Google Ads credit and $100,000 Google Cloud credit.
We think UrbanVolt will be one of the leaders of the wave of businesses that exist to use business as a force for good, and we hope their story and ethic inspires a lightbulb moment for others!
