Uptime - the app that'll improve your knowledge and free your mind

Micro learning made easy thanks to Uptime, the app that enables users to access 5-minute Knowledge Hacks from the world’s best books, courses and documentaries
Have you ever wished that you had just a bit more knowledge about something, but it’s not such an important thing that you would spend significant time learning about it? Like those people who seem to know a little bit about everything, and you wonder how their brains hold on to it all.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a basic understanding and at least a little bit of knowledge about a broader range of topics so you aren’t left with a blank expression when someone starts talking about climate change, or astrophysics, or the latest celebrity biography?
London-based startup Uptime has created a way for us to learn a little bit about everything in just 5 minutes.
With the startup’s app, you can access thousands of 5-minute knowledge ‘hacks’ from courses, documentaries, and best selling books. These can be watched, listened to, or read, and are curated for relevance and quality of reputable sources, as well as having 3 key insights from those curators added into every Knowledge Hack, designed to provide actionable information that you can use right away.
The idea of the app is to be what they call the antidote to information overload, allowing you to fill in the gaps in your knowledge without getting overwhelmed. As well as general information and knowledge, the app can be used by companies to quickly up-skill their workforce, as Knowledge Hacks include things like the latest titles tackling diversity and inclusion, which the startup says will help businesses to keep up with the rapidly changing world and the increasing importance of workplace culture
To date, Uptime has raised a total of £14 million, which will go a long way to helping them achieve their goal of a long-lasting platform that helps make a positive and meaningful impact on people’s lives. Another funding round will likely take place in early 2022, which we imagine will go towards helping with the planned expansion of their offerings into hacking podcasts and translation into multiple languages.
