UPRISE Festival lands in Dublin

by Startacus Admin

Six months after its Amsterdam edition, the UPRISE Festival is returning to Dublin, bringing together 500 companies, 200
'Founder' Mentors, 128 world class speakers and an estimated audience of 3000 to the ‘People First, Tech Second’ festival.
As we are attending the event as media partners this Thursday, (26.10.17) we thought it only wise to give you all a brief overview of the festival.
Continuing a commitment to no-wifi and no event apps, the UPRISE Festival recently announced that it was relocating its main annual event to Ireland.
With four stages set for intimate conversation, workshops panels and valuable networking, an estimated 66 hours of content from 128 product-focused speakers will keep attendees fully occupied for the entire day and into the night-time, with content themes ranging from ESports, Blockchain, ICO’s to Personalisation in Music.
80 startups and scale-ups will also populate a marketplace area with Enterprise partners subsidising clustered stands and offering resources to the growing companies. Some of the UPRISE Festival key-speakers include:
Anne Boden - Founder & CEO at @StarlingBank
Mark Little - Founder of @Storyful, Eamonn Carey - MD Techstars
Ian Eliis - Director of Microsoft Startup Growth Partners
Liam Harrington - CEO at UNILAD
Mahoney Turnbull - Early Stage Growth of Crowdcube
Darren Westlake - CEO Crowdcube

Jon Davies, Director, Music Partnerships at Shazam
Harry Davies, Head of Regional Programmes of Wayra UK

We wll share all on our experience post event too - keep an eye out via our twitter account and Facebook page as well for any pictures we take on the day too (WiFi or not!).
