UnderPinned - A platform built by freelancers, for freelancers.

by Startacus Admin
The lowdown on UnderPinned, the startup that's on a mission to support freelancers with all they need to build a successful freelance business.
Working as a freelancer can be as tough and gruelling as any other entrepreneurship. It’s a constant grind from finding clients, working, invoicing, finding clients, and between it all, managing your portfolio, improving your skills, and attempting to have some semblance of a work–life balance. Anything that can help with any part of this, automating processes, simplifying organisation, and opening up new opportunities is very welcome.
London-based startup UnderPinned is aiming to be that thing. Built by freelancers, the platform is designed to help freelancers find more work, manage those projects, get paid on time, and increase your knowledge with practical advice.
In its simplest form, the startup gives freelancers access to more than 400,000 quality leads, allows you to build portfolios based around the needs of those most promising prospective clients, manage all of your clients, and once the work is done, automatically invoices the client, commission-free. But UnderPinned is more than this alone - it is a community of over 50,000 freelancers, a place to learn and grow with their academy, a virtual office, and an accelerator.
The accelerator programme is online and works through flexible modules with on-demand video lessons, access to events, and live sessions with experts. Participants of the accelerator also get access to all of the tools and services that normal members do, of course, and will remain members after completing the accelerator.
The startup has been putting on live events for members, and now that things are opening up again after lengthy lockdowns, they will be starting to put on physical events again too, helping freelancers to further their network and learn even more.
