Trivia fan? New app Kuizu takes the pub quiz digital

Trivia fan? You could be in luck! New app Kuizu takes the pub quiz digital, with physical prizes up for grabs in weekly prize draws. Since launching on 8th July, over 32,000 games have been played by keen quizzers.

A new quiz app has launched that lets you play for physical prizes, including games consoles, laptops, BBQs, bluetooth speakers and more. The app, called Kuizu, was created to help turn Britain’s love for the traditional pub quiz into a digital game that can be played multiple times a day.

Kuizu allows each player to select from 8 categories of questions, meaning whether you’re a geography whizz or up to date on your pop culture, you can play to your strengths. You can then select which one of the 8 prizes for that week takes your fancy. The list of goodies rotates weekly, with prizes up for grabs this week include a Sonos Wireless Speaker, a GoPro Hero 5 Session and an Amazon Echo Show. 

You can enter each of the 8 quiz categories twice per day, either playing for the same prize each time or spreading your luck across different rewards, meaning you have a total of 112 chances each week. The quiz consists of 15 questions and you have 15 seconds to answer each one. Answer over 80% correctly and you’ll be entered into the draw. 

Since launching on 8th July, over 32,000 games have been played by keen quizzers, with 64 prizes already awarded and dispatched. Kuizu founder Dan Mortimer, who has long been a fan of all things trivia, explained:

“I’ve always loved quizzes and trivia games; from the weekly pub quiz to TV game shows. I wanted to create something fun and innovative that rewards players, an app that people could engage with anytime, anywhere, either on their own or with friends and family. Kuizu app does just that and we’ve spent over a year perfecting the game.

“You play for a real prize, one that you’ve selected yourself, so it’s an ideal way of grabbing that gadget you’ve had your eye on, or nabbing the perfect gift for a loved one.
