Treekly - turning your footsteps into forests

by Startacus Admin
Need a little extra motivation to get your daily step count up? Treekly will help you do your bit for the climate crisis with every step you take...
With our planet and climate currently in severe crisis, in addition to the fact that we as humans are no longer moving enough, innovative apps such as Treekly are not only simply relevant, but are also essential for our health and for the good of our planet.
The Treekly vision is to make it as easy as possible for everyone to play their part in fighting climate change, with a range of fun challenges and activities to show how making small changes as part of a large community can create a real and positive impact.
One of the app’s core features is the Treekly Challenge. This involves each individual aiming to get into the habit of doing 5,000 steps in a day. If you do this for 5 days in a row, via the free app, you’ll earn a tree for your own virtual forest. Another option is to join Treekly Plus for just £3.99 a month which enables you to plant a tree every day that you complete 5000 steps and help the Treekly team with their tree planting project in Madagascar. You can also purchase tree packs for just £2.50, enabling 5 trees to be planted, with or without you reaching your steps target.
Treekly also has plans in place to launch a carbon journal that lets you log your actions to become more aware of how you contribute to the climate, with an inbuilt rewards system when you make conscious changes!
Treekly are currently crowdfunding via Seedrs and have already exceeded their target so further development of the app and platform are no doubt afoot.
A startup that helps you turn your footsteps into forests - what’s not to love about that!
