Travel and leisure entrepreneur competition - you could really go places

by Startacus Admin
We feature a lot of start-up competitions here at Startacus, and more often than not the prize on offer comes in the form of financial investment in a company or idea.
As brilliant as this is, we sometimes think that companies unwittingly overlook one of the most valuable assets that they can offer to a start-up...their wealth of experience!
That’s why we are pleased to introduce The Big Idea competition offered by award winning entrepreneurs Ross Marshall and Andrew Harding of the Palatinate Group - home of successful YourGolfTravel.com. These guys know what it’s like to be a self starter with a great idea, having begun their business from a Wimbledon bedroom in 2005. Now they are on the look-out for an ambitious prodigy with an innovative new idea for a travel/leisure business with whom to share their knowledge and industry expertise.
What's up for grabs?
The winner will be treated to a host of valuable and unique opportunities aimed at developing their innovative idea into a lucrative and sustainable business. For starters you will be given a 6 month placement in the offices of Ross and Andrew's award winning Palatinate Group, giving you hands-on experience in all departments of one of the industry’s foremost companies. What’s more, there is a £30,000 salary for your trouble and access to the expertise of Andrew and Ross who will mentor you in how to grow your idea into what could be the industry’s next big thing.
It doesn't stop there either, after the 6 month placement the successful applicant will be given the opportunity to launch their new business with a further £30k investment from Andrew and Ross and all the potential benefits which come from working with two such prolific entrepreneurs.
What do you need to do?
All you need to do in order to apply is submit a description of your travel/leisure business idea (max 1000 words) detailing why you think it has the potential to become a runaway success. Short-listed candidates will have the opportunity to pitch their idea face-to-face in October with the placement set to begin in January 2014. Check out the details here via this handy link to all the details and terms and conditions.
Excited? Well it’s time to get a move on as the 30th September deadline is fast approaching.
Just think, if your idea is chosen you could be launching your very own travel/leisure company by July 2014! The skys the limit!
