TravaPlan wants to make business travel management a one-stop pursuit

by Startacus Admin
TravaPlan aims to be the perfect tool for booking company travel for both the individual business traveller and the company travel coordinator, with their one-stop, business travel management platform.
Booking personal travel and booking business travel are two very different things. Complicated though personal travel may be at times, imagine all of the same issues and then pile on top of that the need to have every detail of your trip approved by the boss - from the flights to the hotel.
Rejected proposals, approved proposals that are now twice the price they were when you proposed them, travel management fees, coordinating with different people and companies, and all so that you can take an uncomfortable flight to a shabby hotel on the wrong side of town. It’s time-consuming, frustrating, and can ultimately be more costly than necessary. Even worse, what if you have multiple travellers to book for?
This is where NDRC supported, Irish startup TravaPlan aims to come in, with their one-stop, business travel management platform which aims to be the perfect tool for both the individual business traveller and the company travel coordinator.
By bringing everything into one platform, the booking process is made easier and faster. The in-app approval feature allows the boss to see the whole itinerary at once, updating live, and to make their decision quicker.
That live itinerary remains in the app for the traveller to check whenever they need, without having to search for the possibility of updates and changes. If you are booking for multiple travellers at once, the app caters for group itineraries, once again making things simpler and less painful.
While you are away, the boss can keep tabs on you and your spending via the app, giving them control and keeping trip data reports automated. And in the event of an emergency, this feature allows them to locate the traveller at any time.
Last week, at DigitalDNA, Dublin based TravaPlan took part in our upSTART startup pitch competition with 24 other startups from across the UK and Ireland. An impressive pitch landed them in the top 6 finalists, and got everyone’s attention.
This is one of those startups that makes you wonder why it hasn’t been done all along, and we think there is a good chance they are going to fully take off over the next 12 months or so...
