Top 5 Free Business Apps - Android

by Startacus Admin
We all know there’s nothing better than free stuff, especially when they bring benefits like helping you become more productive. With that in mind, we have put together our favourite top 5 free Android apps that can help get your business working like clockwork.
Evernote
Not just any notepad, this little number is ace at synchronising across various platforms. Write a note on your phone? When you get home, it'll be sitting on your computer waiting for you to fix all those spelling mistakes you've made with your big thumbs on a little keyboard.
Pulse News
Great for keeping an eye on your favourite blogs, news, competitors and the like. Pulse consolidates all your favourites into one manageable stream, and you can save things for reading later. Also, and quite brilliantly, when you update the articles, it'll store them offline... so you can read them wherever you are.
Google Analytics
Ok... we’re pretty sure you know what this one does. But as an app? This has only recently been officially released by Google as an app on the Google Play Store. It will show you real time stats, customisable dashboards and intelligence events right there on your device. Great when trying to impress the investors...
Hootsuite
Don't let the name of this app confuse you... this little application is no laugh. It's a very serious player in the world of social media and communication. Linking all of your social media accounts, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and so on, it allows you to post simultaneously on all of them, even setting times for tweets, blogs & posts to go live at a certain time. If you want to communicate with customers and potential clients at the other side of the world during their “working hours”, the scheduled messaging function is perfect. No more burning the midnight oil just to send that tweet. Well you can if you want....
Dropbox
We featured this in our Online Storage post recently. It is absolutely brilliant for storing and sharing files. Compared to the competition, it gives you the most storage (albeit with a little work) and it plays nicely with almost everyone. An essential tool, in my opinion.
There you have it. No doubt there are others out there hiding in the Google Play Store...
What ones can you not live without? Do let us know over in the forum.
Of course if you're more if an Apple fan, why not check out our Top Business Apps for iOS instead.
