One of the newest on our list ToSouk launched in 2011. As well as being a place to sell handmade, vintage, and collectable items, the site is aiming to be a “social marketplace” where members can come together in the forum and share knowledge, ideas and the like. Currently this is an entirely free resource since there are no listing fees and no sales fees!
DaWanda
Established in 2006, DaWanda now markets itself as Europe’s biggest online marketplace for unique and handmade items. Restored vintage items and craft supplies can also be sold. The site has a large vibrant community forum where advice, support and feedback can all be attained. There is no charge to list an item and there is a 5% commission on any item sold.
Misi
Launched in 2008, MISI now has over 3000 sellers on board. Unique and handmade crafts can all be sold as well as craft supplies and vintage products. it costs 20p to list an item for up to
12 months and the site takes a 3% commission on sales.
Stylistic Gallery
A passion for design art and handmade creations was the inspiration behind this site being set up. Their online gallery showcases all sorts of innovative handmade and hand designed creations that embody “stylistic design”. There is no fee to list an item but there are annual membership requirements. The free membership allows you to sell items but 20% commission is taken on any item sold. the premium membership costs £59.99 with 7% commission beig taken.
Not on the High Street
This site again concentrates on new, innovative and unique products. There is a focus on high quality items with a twist on original designs. There is a one off annual membership fee and they are currently offering a discount for graduate designers and artisans.
