Think Biosolution - wearable healthcare monitoring

Think Biosolution - The health tech startup that has healthcare innovation at its core...

So what about when you really want to make a difference - when a coach is looking for actionable insights to help better train an athlete or a doctor wants data on your exercise?
Step forward Think Biosolution, a startup based in both Dublin and Rochester, New York.
The startup’s product, Quasar, is a sensor that can monitor many variables such as heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, blood oxygen saturation, pace, distance, and more. A doctor or coach can then use this feedback to better understand how your body is working, and tailor their recommendations to this.
There are three ways in which Think Biosolution can work with partners to create products.
Telehealth: empowering doctors to make informed decisions based on the patient’s multiparameter, medical grade biometric data.
Smart apparel: working with brands to integrate the Quasar into their products to enhance their customers’ performance.
Athletics training: empowering coaches to make informed decisions based on the player’s biometric data.
Think Biosolution pitched at the Startacus hosted startup pitch competition upSTART just last year, and have since gone on to be declared one of four companies to win the first round of Luminate NY, one of the world’s largest optical and photonics accelerators.
This latter accolade adds an extra $250,000 to their $1.5m series A funding, which itself came after a €350,000 seed round. Not bad for a four-person startup.
