The World Illustration Awards

by Startacus Admin
If illustration’s your thing, then you might want to put away those pencils and pens, (digital or otherwise) for a few moments and take a read at this.
The Association of Illustrators (AOI) and the Directory of Illustration have come together and just launched a fab new international illustration competition - the World Illustration Awards. Yep - this year the AOI are going global!
The Awards are open to illustrators working in any medium or context and geographic location.
Even better - you can enter no matter where you’re at in your career as an Illustrator.
Work can be submitted as either a New Talent entry or a Professional entry. New Talent submissions must be from Undergraduate or Post- Graduate Students or Graduates who are within two years of graduation. Professional submissions? Well - there’s a clue in the name there!
The comp has 8 core categories, namely:
- Advertising
- Books
- Children’s Books
- Design
- Editorial
- Public Realm
- Research and Knowledge Communication
- Self Initiated Work
All entries must be in by midday on Monday 9 February 2015.
Interested in applying? Simply enter on the AOI site before midday on Monday 9 February 2015. All the T’s and C’s and finer details can be found there too.
Best of luck to any of you creative types who apply!
