by Startacus Admin
We had previous written about the history of the twitter hashtag. But the Twitter Fiction Festival?
Collaboration is nothing new within the art and literary World. But we have to admit there is something intriguing about the Twitter Fiction Festival kicking off at the end of this month...
Twitter is perhaps the most innovative personal storytelling device of our generation and they are now hosting a five-day virtual storytelling celebration held entirely on Twitter.
(what was the most innovative story telling device prior to this point? Morse Code? Community Forum Boards?...)
Celebrating ‘Tweeting’ as a new literary art form, we are keen to see how the Twitter Fiction Festival will get the chosen authors to collaborate with Twitter to come up with some innovative and creative ‘pieces’ of twitter-art-i...
The shortlisted authors of the Festival were announced yesterday and we look forward to the 5 day event all kicking off on November 28th.
As the Twitter blog explained prior to the shortlisted authors being chosen:
“The Twitter Fiction Festival (#twitterfiction) will feature creative experiments in storytelling from authors around the world. Twitter is a frontier for creative experimentation, and we want to invite authors and creative storytellers around the world to push the bounds of what’s possible with Twitter content.”
Intrigued? Then follow the festival and its’ updates using the #twitterfiction hashtag...
