RISCalert - Wendevr’s first product, the RISCalert platform, aims to bridge the gap that exists in the ‘last mile’ of public alerting by allowing all crisis responding agencies, including police, fire services, utilities, councils etc., to pinpoint their alerts to the public right down to a singular building, saving agencies and citizens precious time before, during and after a disaster.
Unitek.AI - Founded in Dublin, Ireland - Unitek.AI uses Artificial Intelligence to extract data from scanned images of structured and unstructured documents including those with handwriting to 99.9% accuracy for Banks, Insurers and Accountants. Afterbook - Afterbook is a digital platform where people can build a legacy to and tell the life story of a loved one and then share those stories with family and friends. Or indeed create and curate one’s own life story. Creating the profile is a very cathartic experience and can really help on the journey through grief and toward better mental health.Journey Protector - Journey Protector solves problems faced by haulage companies due to theft or damage of their load as well as issues associated with illegal stowaways entering the rear of vehicles. We have developed a device and system for the real time remote detection of illegal stowaways which removes the need for the driver to become engaged.

Smart Routes - Smart Routes is a leading edge Delivery Route Planning Solution. Their Cloud-based platform helps businesses to seamlessly plan their routes, giving them the ability to run an efficient delivery fleet in-house 24/7.
Compensave - Compensave will make saving fun for students by providing a gamified app that's connected to user’s bank accounts, allowing them to set goals and save on the go.
MiBudi - the school friendly child messaging system with personal alarm - designed for use before, during and after school.
Machine Eye - Machine Eye develops Artificial Intelligence based Safety Systems for Farm Plant and Heavy machinery. Award winning and Patent Pending, Machine Eye continually monitors operator behaviour and machine conditions, taking automatic control of the machine and removing risk when an accident is imminent.
The Ascend judging panel of Kevin McGivern of Kx, Ashleen Feeney of KPMG in Northern Ireland, Fiona McElroy of Ulster University, Garrett O’Hare of Flexi Work Space and Drew O’Sullivan of InterTradeIreland, will certainly have a tough job to pick out the winner.
Best of luck from all at Startacus! The entire Startacus team and our co-founder Alastair Cameron who is hosting the event, are looking forward to seeing how events unfold.
