The Social Entrepreneurs Fund - Level 2 Awards now open...

by Startacus Admin
Since its launch, the Social Entrepreneurs Fund has provided investment to the tune of £1.5 million for people all across Scotland to help them set up social enterprises and the good news is that it is still doing just that.
The Fund’s Level 2 Awards have just re-opened and are open to entrepreneurial individuals in Scotland who are involved in the social enterprise sector. Could that be you? Well, if you have a business idea which has progressed beyond the initial concept and testing stage, and you have been trading or running your business for at least a year, it could be...
The other obvious stipulations are that your business has a social or environmental ethos and that most of the people who would benefit from it, live in Scotland.
All entries will be assessed on the individual’s drive, skills and experience, the business’ business plan and cash-flow projections and the social impact that the business is likely to
have.
Up to £20,000 funding will be awarded to successful applicants and this money can be utilized for a whole host of purposes from branding to travel costs. Within this Level 2 stage, using the money to help support salary and living costs is particularly encouraged. This is certainly not something to be dismissed then!
Interested? You’ve got until 22 February 2013 to apply - more details on the criteria and the application itself can be found here.
Best of luck to any of you who do!
