The SME Digital 4.0 Conference to help SME's embrace digital opportunities

by Startacus Admin
In response to the digital challenges faced by SMEs, Digital 4.0, the knowledge-sharing & networking event, aims to help SME's embrace digital opportunities.
Small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of the UK economy. As of December, there were 5.7 million businesses registered in the UK, of which more than 99% are SMEs, accounting for 60% of employment and 51% of turnover.
The North, in particular Manchester, is a hotbed for SMEs, with the city ranking first nationally for SME growth with a 36% rise since 2010. Manchester is also fast emerging as a tech hub for the UK, and the Northern Powerhouse Partnership have called for investment to support further growth, particularly around digital.
In today’s rapidly changing and disruptive technological world, it is vital that SMEs embrace such digital transformation to succeed. Put simply, the alternative is failure.
In direct response to the digital challenges faced by SMEs, Salford Professional Development and Salford Business School have put together an educational, inspirational knowledge-sharing and networking event to help small, medium and essential businesses to embrace these opportunities.
Returning for its 5th year, The Creative Entrepreneur presents Digital 4.0 for the Northern Powerhouse.
Held at the state-of-the-art MediaCity, at the heart of the UK’s business start-up capital, this year’s event, taking place on the 20th June 2018 promises to be the biggest yet. The University of Salford are delighted to work with SME’s – both digitally native businesses and companies in more traditional sectors who want to harness the enormous power of digital.
Over a full day and a busy agenda, can hear from the people and organisations pushing the agenda in Greater Manchester, including Vimla Appadoo, who is help transform digital services for users at DWP, entrepreneur Vikas Shah, futurist Tom Cheesewright, Thought Works Ruth Harrison, Michael Heaven, Head of the Be Fit Motivation brand and all-round tech and startup champion Martin Bryant.
With the opportunity to discover a cross-industry perspective to overcoming digital disruption, take part in interactive discussions sessions where you can have your say on the most important transformation considerations, find out more about the digital transformation challenges you can embrace, and also network with and learn from digital transformation experts from your industry and beyond, this sounds like a fab event that Startacus is more than delighted to share word on and champion.
