The Smarta 100 - Startacus previews the finalists

On the 8th November, The Smarta 100 shortlisted finalists will discover their fate as the winner of the Smarta 100 awards is announced and awarded with their £10k prize...Startacus took some time out to review the smarta 100 field..
Announced over the weekend and shortlisted from over 1,200 entries from across the UK, the Smarta 100 identified the top 100 companies that are on track to becoming the fast-growth superstars of the future. The finalists include UK tech trailblazers, socially-responsible pioneers and crowd-funded success stories.
The winner will be presented with their £10,000 prize - courtesy of O2 – at The Smarta 100 Awards final on Thursday 8 November at London’s Proud2 in Greenwich.
The evening will also see six special awards presented for the Smarta 100 companies deemed by the judges to be the best, in the categories of Innovation, Technology, Social Impact, Resources, Marketing, People and Social Impact...
So adopting a 100% non partisan approach, Startacus took some time out to preview the field (in full) and in true Twitter tradition,to sum up (try to!) each business in 140 characters or less....
