The Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards
by Startacus Admin
If you’re part of a Social Enterprise that’s been in operation and trading for at least the last two years, the recently launched Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards should certainly be worth a look.
The Awards aim to help existing social enterprises to grow and develop by providing financial funding as well as business support. The entire prize fund for the awards is a pretty impressive £2.3 million which will be split amongst Social Enterprises in eight different geographic regions, namely London & South East, South West, Midlands, North West, North East, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
Only those Social Enterprises which have a focus on one of the following key areas are eligible to apply:
the improvement of social inclusion
the provision of support to disadvantaged people through skills, training and employment
the creation of a greener environment
Santander are also providing winners with an extensive business support package which includes fully funded internships, consultancy days as well as networking opportunities. If you’re interested in applying, simply complete the downloadable form on the Santander site and submit it before the closing date of 1st July 2013. Who knows? You could be one of the lucky winners announced in September 2013!
