The Return of Fund 101

by Startacus Admin
Got an idea for a business but just need that little bit of cash to get you going? Or maybe you’ve already started a business but could do with a few extra pounds to help take it to that next stage.
If either of these scenarios ring true for you, the recently re-launched Fund 101 could be worth a look.
Fund 101 is an initiative run by the folks over at Enterprise Nation which provides small businesses with the opportunity to raise up to £500 for their endeavours. Interested in the sound of that?
Here’s what you need to know:
If you’re a UK based startup or simply someone with an idea for a small business, you are eligible to apply. The money you apply for can be used for anything from purchasing new equipment for your business through to marketing and promotion costs.
Applying for the money could not be easier. Simply complete the online application outlining how much money you need and what you intend to use it for. The Fund 101 team will then shortlist the 5 best applications that they receive and then allow Enterprise Nation members to start voting for their favourites. The 2 applications who receive the most votes will then receive the money.
It couldn’t be simpler! It’s just a matter of making your initial application as strong and clear as it can be and then if you’re selected, encouraging your customers, your social media followers and of course your friends and family to take a minute or two out to vote for you.
That’s it. There’s no catch. All the Fund 101 guys want in return is that you agree to share your story on the Enterprise Nation blog explaining how their funding has helped you and your business. And that’s certainly no big ask is it?
If you’d like to apply, then get on the case straight away by entering your details on the Fund 101 site and then hopefully if you’re selected, start getting those votes in!
And one more thing...Good Luck!
