The OneStart business ideas competition

by Startacus Admin
Got an innovative idea for a biotech business but need a little capital to help make it happen?
This recently launched comp by Oxbridge Biotech Roundtable and SR One ( the VC arm of Glaxo Smithkline) is well worth a look.
Here’s the lowdown:
The OneStart comp is open to life science entrepreneurs aged 35 or under who live or work in Europe or America - North or South who have innovative biotech ideas that have the potential to have a lasting and powerful clinical impact.
Ideas are being sought in one of 4 main areas:
- Drug Discovery
- Medical Devices
- Diagnostics and
- Health IT
You can enter as an individual or as part of a team and here’s why you should:
A £100,000 cash prize is up for grabs - no strings attached. There is only one stipulation - that is that the prize money is to be used to develop that innovative idea and get it to the next stage as a business. However, there’s more than just cash on offer here - the winner will receive free lab space, membership to several Life Science business networks and organisations as well as access to dedicated mentoring support and extensive networking opportunities.
Interested in applying?
Simply apply via the OneStart site - answering a few basic questions about your idea, the team you have working on it and how winning the comp could make all the difference. All entries must be in by midnight on December 15th.
Straightforward enough, don’t you think?
If you’d like a little more info on the important stuff - the T’s & C’s, the FAQs etc, that can all be found on the OneStart site too.
If biotech is your thing, we reckon this comp is a must. Good luck to all of you who apply.
