The National Business Awards

by Startacus Admin
Generally, most business competitions are aimed at one particular niche or market sector or indeed one type or size of business. That however is not the case with the recently launched National Business Awards. Now in their 14th year, these awards are aimed at businesses across the board - from the large corporates to the small startups. No matter what industry or sector or indeed size of business, entrants all effectively have a chance of winning.
Why? Well because of the plethora of categories within the Awards. There is quite literally something for everyone!
So in no particular order, this year’s categories are:
-
The Corporate Citizenship Award
-
The Customer Focus Award
-
The Digital Business of the Year
-
The Employer of the Year
-
The Smith & Williamson Entrepreneur of the Year
-
The Growth Business of the Year
-
The Innovation Award
-
The Inflexion International Growth Business of the Year
-
The New Business of the Year
-
The Duke of York New Entrepreneur of the Year
-
The Santander Small to Medium-sized Business of the Year
-
The Social Enterprise of the Year
-
The Blackberry Business Enabler of the Year
There are also 3 categories where entrants can be nominated, namely:
-
The QBE FTSE 100 Business of the Year
-
The Ashridge Business School Leader of the Year
-
The Excellence in Business Award
The Awards site goes into detail on the criteria for each of these categories.
With many comps like this there are often entry fees and this one is no exception - each entry costs £295+ VAT per category although if you enter before 31st March, you’ll be able to avail of the Early Bird promo where you can enter for the discounted sum of £195+ VAT.
So why should you enter?
Well, first and foremost, if you are a winner, getting such recognition will really help instil a real sense of achievement for you, your team and your business. Also, as an Award winner, you will be provided with countless opportunities to raise your business’s profile and thereby ensure that it stands out amongst other businesses in your sector.
Finally, you’ll be joining the NBA Alumni - a pretty impressive bunch, we’re sure you’d agree!
All entries must be in by Friday 15th May so if you’re considering applying, best get to it - particularly if you want to nab the Early Bird rate!
Best of luck to any of you who enter. We’ll be rooting for ya!
