The Makegood Festival from School for Startups

by Startacus Admin
Calling all independent creative start ups – this one is for you. School for Startups launches the Makegood Festival – a spectacular showcase of culture, creativity and entrepreneurship. At this super cool event for the ‘creative’ entrepreneur and startup, there are perhaps less of the suits and more of the style…
Started by serial entrepreneur Doug Richard in 2008, the fab School for Startups offers a tailored a range of programmes to support national and local government initiatives and non profit groups to help spur local economic growth at a grassroots level.
Two flagship programmes, School for Creative Startups and Launcher, provide both education, support and funding for entrepreneurs and have allowed thousands of business to get off the ground. Their proprietary online programmes extend access to entrepreneurs the world over.
And Bingo, the MakeGood festival is bringing together pretty much all of the above by offering a pinch of inspiration, a spoonful of information, and a whole mixing bowl of the talent supported by the School for Startups themselves.
So when and where is it?
Makegood will take place in London’s iconic Old Selfridges Hotel, adjoined to Selfridges on Oxford Street. It starts on Thursday May 29th with a press preview and a VIP launch. This will be for bloggers, magazines, YouTubers, broadcasters, as well as angel investors, government contacts, VIP contact and business figures. On Friday May 30th, there will be an industry and business focus day, which is also open to the public - this will be showcasing creativity to the biggest UK and international buyers and brand owners. On Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st there will be the official opening to the general public – thousands are expected to come to shop, engage and attend talks and workshops.
