The Make Lounge

by Startacus Admin
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in the mundane and to forget all about the fun things - the creative things. So, here at Startacus whenever we hear about a person or a place that has an aim of helping us all to embrace and develop our creativity again, we just have to find out more.
One such place is London based The Make Lounge. With their ethos being “meet people. make stuff.”, this innovative initiative delivers a host of creative and craft training in a social setting.
The Make Lounge holds workshops on everything from how to make a lampshade through to how to make autumn jams and chutneys. So popular have the workshops become that The Make Lounge has now expanded and holds them in 2 different venues.
As well as workshops, private parties can also be booked where crafting skills are taught - an altogether more quirky idea for a party than the norm, I’m sure you’ll agree!
In a bid perhaps to help employees have a bit more fun and re-energise their creative sides, many businesses now also use The Make Lounge for a host of bespoke creative events.
And in true ‘one stop shop’ style, The Make Lounge also has a retail shop where all the craft and sewing supplies you would ever need can be purchased.
Over the past few years, there certainly seems to be an ever increasing popularity in initiatives like this and that surely can only be a good thing. After all, learning more traditional skills and crafts and giving our inner creativity a boost is something that most of us could benefit from.
Details of all upcoming workshops and events can be found on the site itself and bookings can be made online, should any take your fancy.
