The Handmade in Britain Christmas Arcade

by Startacus Admin
Yes, we know that it’s still only August, but like it or not, winter evenings and Christmas are really not that far away! In fact, the days of mulled wine and mince pies will be here before we know it!
And if you’re a designer-maker, it would certainly be worth your while to start making some plans about Christmas now!
Why? Well, mainly because those fab folks at Handmade in Britain are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your wares at the Christmas Arcade at Somerset House.
For a 7 week period, between 10th November 2013 and 5th January 2014, the Christmas Arcade event will celebrate and showcase some of the best in contemporary British craft and design.
Applications are currently being sought from designer-makers working in any of the following areas:
- Interior Design & accessories
- Fashion Design & accessories
- Metalwork
- Textiles
- Ceramics
- Stationery
- Sculpture
All designer makers must produce their work in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland and their products and designs must fall into one of the designated price brackets: £10 - £30, £30 - £100 and £100 to £150.
If you’re interested in applying, you’d better get a move on though, since all applications must be submitted by 6pm on 31st August 2013. Further details on the application process can be found if you check out the Handmade in Britain site itself.
Best of luck to any of you who apply!
