The EcoChic Design Award

by Startacus Admin
If fashion is your thing, then the EcoChic Design Award is a comp that would be well worth a look.
Here’s the lowdown on all the basics that you’d need to know:
The focus of the competition is sustainable fashion design - entrants are being challenged to create mainstream clothing with minimal textile waste whilst at the same time ensuring that the design brief is adhered to - a brief which requires designs to reflect Modern China Chic.
The competition is aimed at up and coming and emerging fashion designers with less than 3 years’ professional experience and current fashion design students. All entrants must live in either the UK, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.
One finalist will be selected from each of these ten regions and be invited to present their collection at Hong Kong Fashion Week in January 2015.
The overall winner will receive an amazing prize allowing them to create their own capsule collection for international fashion retailer, Shanghai Tang. There are a whole host of other prizes on offer too - everything from business mentoring through to invaluable PR and marketing for your brand and designs.
If you’re interested in applying, you’ve got until 15th August to do so. Full details of how to do just that can be found on the EcoChic Design site.
Best of luck to any of you creative self starters who submit an application - we’ll be rooting for ya!
