The Do Lectures

by Startacus Admin
It’s not really a festival, it’s not really a conference either, however by all accounts it’s something pretty special and for anyone who is lucky enough to attend, it’s certainly something they will never forget...
What are we rambling on about? The Do Lectures - that’s what...
Founded by David and Clare Hieatt, The Do Lectures is a small event with huge aspirations and by all accounts has a massive impact on all who attend.
With its ethos of inspiring people “to go and do amazing things”, it might sound like your typical motivational cliche-ridden startup conference, but it’s far from that.
Firstly, there’s the location. With its rural setting in a former chicken farm in Fforest, West Wales, and with attendees listening to inspirational speakers from the comfort of rustic teepees and undertaking workshops in tents and you get the picture that this is a tad different from the norm - and all the better for it.
Then there’s the speakers themselves. Those chosen to speak at The Do Lectures aren’t just the ‘usual suspects’ that get rolled out at these type of events, spouting the same old speeches in the same old way. The speakers are all people who are the real Doers of the world - the people who truly can inspire and ignite a passion in others to do their own thing, who tell stories of small Do’s, big Do’s and extraordinary Do’s. Authors, innovators, creatives, entrepreneurs - they’re all here. Following your heart is what it’s all about and these are the guys who can really motivate you to do just that.
This year’s event is scheduled for 25-28 April and tickets can be applied for now. And if rural Wales isn't enough for you, how about Hopland, California? Yes, The Do Lectures is happening stateside this year too! If you’re not fortunate enough to attend either event, you can always check out The Do Lectures online since previous talks are all accessible for you to be inspired from the comfort of your own home.
We heart The Do Lectures - we reckon you will too.
This little video ought to give you a little taster of what it’s all about....
