The Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Enterprises

by Startacus Admin
If you’re a final year arts degree student or a recent graduate with an aspiration to start your own business, this recently launched initiative by Deutsche Bank would be well worth a look.
The Deutsche Bank Awards for Creative Enterprises have a core objective of helping art students throughout the UK to turn their creative ideas into fully fledged sustainable businesses. The Awards have been supporting startup creative businesses since 1993 and to date have helped create over 170 new businesses as well as inspire countless others to consider self employment as an option.
Whether you’re an artist, a designer or a performer, these awards will provide you with both that all important financial support as well as invaluable mentoring to help get your business idea off the ground.
This year the awards have 5 distinct categories:
- Fine Art
- Film and Photography
- Design
- Music
- Performing Arts
Entries are welcome from both individuals and groups and the winners will receive a prize package including £10k in startup capital as well as training in business planning and a year’s worth of mentoring support. Pretty worthwhile prize, wouldn’t you agree?
If you’re interested in applying, you’ll need to complete the online application form and submit a brief business plan. On the DBACE site you’ll also find loads of useful resources that will help - including examples of some of the business plans that previous Award winners have submitted.
All entries must be in by 5pm on 31st March 2015. Since there are only a matter of weeks left, we suggest that you get on it as soon as!
Best of luck to any of you who do!
