The Collider 12 Accelerator - with £1 Million to spend...

by Startacus Admin
Looking to make a big bang (sorry), the Collider12 is currently on the look for 10 'B2Brand' Startups and has a pot of £1 Million to spend.
The Collider12 programme is open to applications from creative and technology companies based in England and is made possible through Regional Growth Fund (RGF) money secured by Creative England from the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
Coached by Pembridge Partnership Ltd, the aim is to take 10 early stage companies through an intense programme working with brands, coaches and mentors so they can create financial returns and jobs and contribute to sustainable growth for the UK economy.
The 10 selected Startups will achieve customer validation and product market fit in the fastest possible way- by working with the big brands early in their lives and throughout their product development.
Hoping to create a big bang, the startups will be collided with both brands and coaching in the first 13 weeks - to then deliver on their plans from week 14 onwards.
Admittedly, ‘B2Brand’ is a rather new concept for us here at Startacus, but our understanding is that this approach means that you develop and integrate your sales and branding strategies from day 1, which does after all make complete sense.
Like many early Startups - any intensive program that sorts out the key business elements of customer validation and product fit should be celebrated - but it’s a reminder to all less experienced self starters to avoid those key elements at your peril!
Collider12 will invest £100,000 into 10 B2Brand Startups in exchange for up to 13% equity. To apply, businesses should visit http://collider12.com/apply for all the finer details.
Closing date is the 2nd November and offers will be made to successful applicants by 14th November with the programme itself due to begin on 7th January 2013 with the ‘Collision Phase’.
Good luck to all the applicants!
