The Arthur Guinness Projects

by Startacus Admin
If you’re based in Ireland and have an innovative or inspiring idea in Music, Sport, the Arts or Food, then we reckon you’ll be pretty enamoured with The Arthur Guinness Projects.
The Guinness organisation aren’t just synonymous with the ‘black stuff’ you know - they’re doing a lot more besides and the recently launched Arthur Guinness Projects is a prime example.
Put simply, The Arthur Guinness Projects has been established to celebrate and reward the next chapter of Irish talent and creativity, specifically in the areas of Music, Sports, Arts and Food. So, if you’re in Ireland, North or South, and have an innovative or creative idea in one or other of these areas they want to hear all about it!
Entering couldn’t be easier. Add your idea on their website, and then get everyone you know to get voting! That’s how it works initially - the most popular ideas as voted for by the public will be the ones shortlisted. So share your idea on all your Social Media channels to help spread the word! The top 10% of projects will then be submitted to a panel of industry experts for judging. And if you miss out on being in the top 10%, all is not lost! The panel of experts can choose up to 4 wildcard entries! The closing date for submissions is August 9th 2013 and the public will be able to keep voting for their faves until August 23rd.
But why enter you may ask? What’s in it for you?
Well...the winning ideas will not only receive a bursary of up to €50,000, they’ll also receive invaluable mentoring and support and of course lots of publicity from Guinness too! But more importantly..they’ll see their ideas moving that bit further towards reality.
Visit the Arthur Guinness Projects website now and you’ll see some of the first entries - some fab ideas. If you reckon your idea is better, then get applying!
Before you do though, check out the video below where some of those experts reveal a little more about what the whole thing's about...
